Ten Gods
The ten gods (十神) classify every stem in a Four Pillars chart by its relationship to your day master — peer, output, wealth, authority, or resource.

What it is
The ten gods (十神, sipsin) are not ten separate deities — they are ten labels for how a stem relates to your day master, grouped into five pairs by relationship type: peer (比肩/劫財), output (食神/傷官), wealth (偏財/正財), authority (偏官/正官), and resource (偏印/正印). Within each pair, the first is the same-polarity (yin-yin or yang-yang) version and the second is the opposite-polarity version — same relationship, different flavor.
Which pair applies is fixed by the five-element relationship between the other stem and your day master: a stem the same element as you is a peer; a stem your day master generates is an output; a stem your day master controls is wealth; a stem that controls your day master is authority; a stem that generates your day master is a resource.
Worked example
For a Fire day master, a Water stem is authority (water controls fire) — traditionally read as discipline, structure, or a boss/institution theme, depending on which pair applies. The same Fire day master reading a Wood stem gets a resource relationship (wood generates fire) instead — support, learning, or a mentor theme. Two charts can share a day master and still read very differently once you see which ten gods actually appear, and how many times each one repeats.
How Mystica computes it
The free Saju reading classifies every one of your chart's other seven characters against your day master using the classical ten-god table, and separately classifies the ten-god theme of each luck pillar period when your gender is provided.
